Raising The Best Children To Be Self Worth

Raising White Kids: Acceptance

What is the best way to teach children about self-worth and make them the best children? I often hear parents say that they have had to use two different strategies when teaching their children self-worth. These strategies may be effective at raising children’s self-esteem or they may not.

In the first part of this article, I will tell you a story about what I experienced when raising children to be better people. The second part of this article is my recommendation for parents who want to teach their children self-worth. This strategy was very successful for me and I will show you how it can be for you.

I once bought into the old wives’ tale that children should always do what we said. If your children want to go to the library instead of doing their homework then they should go to the library.

Best Children Tips

The first part of this process was to send the kids out on house calls where they would sit outside for an hour. After a while, the kids got tired of waiting outside. They decided to leave so we asked them to come back at a later time.

Once our kids had left on house calls then the next step was to come home and try to get them to come up with some homework. We used to tell them to just do their homework and they’d get bored. When they didn’t get any homework from them then we would put a doll or cat in front of them and tell them to come to look at it.

When our children were ready to come up with some homework then we would tell them to come to the computer and they could do their homework in their room. They would sit in front of the computer and then in a few minutes they would be finished with their homework.

Know More:

We started using this process to teach our kids to do their homework outside because we got tired of having to send our kids out on house calls. By using this process we were raising our kids to be independent and they were also learning to work as a team. These are important skills for the child to develop in order to become successful in life.

One day my husband and I went on a vacation to a small town in northern Minnesota. We took a lot of pictures because we wanted to have them saved forever. We spent all day taking pictures of everything that was going on.

By the end of the day we were so tired we went to bed. When we woke up at 5 am we were just ready to start the trip back home.

We ended up taking a full day on the airplane and then arrived home on a Sunday. When we got there we knew we had to keep our day short so we tried to do some cleaning. That is how we kept our daily brief.

Bottom Line:

Our children did great but it was a very short day. After about an hour of work, our children became impatient.

I told my husband that we should set the schedule earlier so that we would have had some more time. I suggested that we get the children cleaned up and get some sleep. Hence, I also suggested that we spend a little time on the computer. Bring something to entertain the kids and to take their minds off of the fact that they were home alone. I don’t think we did anything else that day.
